Subject: hello again!

Hello hello! I've been away so long. (and probably most of you are scratching your heads and thinking, who is this anyway??? ha!)
Been dealing with my d*g's cancer and he's hanging in there. no new lumps yet. Even adopted a 2nd older d*g as companion last Oct. and during the day they sleep next to each other but at night, she takes the couch and he still pushes my husband off our bed.then the cats curl up next to the dog. My sister's cancer has not returned either so we're very happy about that.

My Mr. Bean is still negative though he only has one tooth left. My other positive Clancy unfortunately still tested positive so not able to start up fostering again for local shelter. So I've been doing my bit for rescuing online.
WWW.savethekitties.org recently contacted me concerning two black positives they have in foster care in Georgia that need a home or safe haven. This is an amazing group along with www.savingshelterpets.com that work online to rescue cats from high kill pounds. There is one black female approx 1 yr old and a male approx 2 yrs old. both very friendly but they are in cages at foster care and their care is draining the group's pocketbook and a decision will have to be made soon.

Both kitties are in temporary boarding in Griffin, GA; they are rescues from the high kill gas shelter at Spalding County, GA.  SavetheKitties will arrange/provide transport to foster/adopt location. Both have had distemper and rabies vaccinations as well as initial de-worming; SavetheKitties will do distemper booster.  In their combo testing, both tested positive for Felv.  Neither has been spayed/neutered at this time, however, SavetheKitties will either provide spay/neuter prior to transport or fund after transport.

I have posted their ads on the adoption page along with photos. I would gladly help out if anyone can take these two in.

I've missed the daily emails from this group and crying and laughing along with you all. Most of all, I've missed knowing there are others out there who would not shudder when I say, "oh I have 7 cats and 2 dogs."
take care,
Barbara
