Hi Michelle,

In December 2005, Ms. Clyde was diagnosed as having Severe Anemia. Our vet had tests done and Ms. Clyde was diagnosed with Non-Regenerative Anemia on January 11, 2006. We had a bone marrow aspirate done on January 23, 2006 and they diagnosed her with a rare form of Leukemia called Erythroleukemia. I am not sure if this protocol is the same as for Lymphoma. There is no set treatment plan or protocol to follow, so we are in uncharted territory.

Her Chemo therapy protocol is as follows:
Treatment Plan:
Prednisone 10mg 1 tablet daily
Clavamox 62.5mg 1 tablet 2x daily
The Chemotherapy drug we will be using: Cytarabine 100mg/m2 SQ every 12 hours x 4 doses (25mg per dose) then repeat every 5-7 days.
Immune Support Capsules 1 capsule daily (Nutritional Support for the Immune System).
We will be discontinuing the doxycycline and adding the Clavamox.
Add Reglan if needed for nausea.
I also supplement her daily with KittyVite for Senior Cats once daily in the morning and NutriCal once in the evening, this I give her on a spoon and she loves it.

Hugs and Head-Bumps,
Karen in California and her Beautiful Maine Coon Cat Ms. Clyde

I am glad to hear Ms. Clyde is responding to chemo. What protocol are they using? Is it the same as for lymphoma?

Thanks,
Michelle
