I don't know for sure if titers have shown it. But I have been told by several vets that rabies and distemper definitely last at least 3 years but that the FeLV vaccine only lasts one year.

I get the FeLV vaccine for my negative, Quincy. I called around until I found a vet who carries the Purevax vaccine, which does not carry risk of vaccine associated sarcoma, supposedly. It is not even given with a needle, but with this thing that looks like a space age gun which shoots a very narrow stream of it straight into the skin, apparently.

Michelle,

I have never heard that the felv vaccine doesn't last as long as other vaccines???  Do you know this?  Have titers shown this?  I have just always 'assumed' that once it was given and boostered it probably really lasted a lifetime like fvrcp's and rabies???

I have been after my vet to STOP yearly vaccinations and she doesn't want to.  Rabies is required yearly here, and I don'[t buck that one because I don't want something to happen and have to deal with the legal system over it......
