She is breathing on her own, but not waking up. She could be permanently
brain damaged. They say that people in vegetative states can still sense and
hear, so Gray and I are meeting there to see her and be with her. I do not know
what is going to happen. If she revives, the neurologist recommended doing a
biopsy, because there is a very small chance that it could be an infection in
her brain and not a tumor, and if so they might be able to cure it entirely. But
she thinks it is a tumor. She said if she were her cat, and she revives, she
would do the biopsy and if it is an infection treat it aggressively, and if it
is a tumor try chemotherapy to see if there is an immediate response but if not
then to not put her through any more. I am thinking about all of this but can
not really know what to do, especially since she may never wake up. I am just
going to go there.
