Yes, there is info on the felk website about IR.  I looked for info that I saved about it and at first glance came up with one of Kyle's posts about Brissle when she was on it, (pasted below). >From what I understand it is a bacteria (?), that when introduced to their system helps kick their immune response up to fight the, I assume, less harmful threat of the IR.  It always made me nervous to try it, but so many seemed to have benefited from it.  I wish I had a nickle for the times I've heard, both personally and from others, about things the vets don't think will work that do.  I'm not saying your vet isn't good, I'm just saying that there comes a time to try things that you might otherwise not.  I'm sorry I didn't try it with Gracie.  I ordered it, had it in the house, even made an appointment with the vet to give it to her IV, and then canceled the appointment because my vet didn't believe in it.  I don't know, trying to eliminate the "what ifs" before they happen can make us crazy.  I just thought I'd put it out there, esp since one of Smokey's problems was continuing fevers.  You know how I feel about Pred and even if it seems to be helping, it certainly hasn't resolved anything yet.  Please don't misunderstand, I'm not trying to talk you into anything.  I just feel for you and hate it when I can't help fix things for those I care about. The EqStim page doesn't tell you that. But the bottle does. And yes, it's the same. I think EqStim is much much cheaper, cause you have to use so much on a horse.  <> Dosage for dogs is shown on the Immunoregulin page - .25ml to .50ml for dog up to 15 lbs. We used an exact .5ml on Brissle, who was only 7 lbs. That's the recommended dosage for a cat with FeLV. Injections are IV, twice a week. Brissle didn't have any side effects at that dosage. In fact, she was quite giddy when we got home from the vet. >>
