Thanks Wendy, I am better but not 100%.  I know I'll never stop missing her or worrying about the mistakes I may or may not have made, but the pain has been more manageable this week.  We got her urn back on Tuesday and it gave us some closure.  The presentation was so beautiful.  Along with the urn (a little black urn for a little black cat) we got a certificate of individual cremation and an angel cat pin, all packaged in a gift bag decorated with a little white bow and some tiny paper roses.  I've been wearing the pin on my ID lanyard at work.  If anyone needs this service in the Middle Tennessee area, I highly recommend Littlest Angels Pet Crematory.  Our vet recommended her and her listing in the phone book was also the one I chose by sheer gut instinct: "Individual cremations performed with care in a country setting", just that, the name and the phone number.  The voice on the answering machine is so calm and soothing, unlike the other place I called where I got the standard "I'm either on the phone or with a client".  That was such a turnoff, but it was no surprise as the ad made it sound like a funeral home for pets.

We got a lovely card from the specialist which she wrote and signed personally.  Everyone there was so wonderful.  I've already referred someone who needed a vet in that part of town.

Love to all and hugs to all kitties

I just wanted to see how all of you are doing since
you all have lost a furbaby so recently. Please be
gentle with yourself. Treat yourself to something
special this weekend, a pedicure, some chocolate, a
good romance novel. Anything to pamper yourself. You
all deserve the best the way you loved and cared for
your furbabies!

Have a great weekend!
:)
Wendy
