Hi Elysa,
I would go with the epogen first too, my Bailey is, or was anemic about 2 months ago although his anemia is bone marrow related. His lowest HCT was at 15% and this was AFTER starting the epogen, his HCT actually went down, this is common so don't panic if it actually goes lower. As long as it stays above 10% Stella should be OK but keep an eye on her as all cats are individuals.

We got Bailey's HCT back up to 40% in about 8 weeks of epogen, his last bloodwork wason March 6th and that is when his HCT was 40% and ALL of his bloodwork is now normal again.

Giving a vitamin B complex and folic acid is also recommended for anemic cats, looks like the only thing you may not be giving is the folic acid unless it is in the b complex. Definately keep up the fluids, very improtant in CRF cats, you may also want to look into changin her diet. There are a couple CRF groups and an anemia group you may want to check them out, I belong to the anemia one but not the CRF, Bailey's as far as we know doesn't have kidney problems. Here are the addresses for them:

I sure hope the epogen helps Stella as much as it has Bailey, I know he wouldn't be alive today if we hadn't tried it.
