Hi Karolyn,
I think you may have jinxed us! The same night you posted this, Bruce climbed into bed and jumped right out again! We suspect our Queen Diva, Ursula. Anyway, perhaps your the little guy, (what's his name?), is feeling uncertain about his rank in the household and is claiming your bed as, if not his territory, a place where he belongs. Since you've gone to all the trouble of plastic shower curtains, I thought you might not mind going one step further and put a large litter box on your bed. Since he uses a litter box, maybe he'd prefer to use one on the bed too. I'm hoping you can get him used to using the litter box on the bed and then move it to the floor right next to the bed, then near the door, out into the hall, etc. In the meantime, shower him with lots of love and attention, (crazy isn't it?), if he's insecure at all, it might help him gain some confidence.

Marylyn suggested Feliway and RR. You can put a few drops of RR into the communal water dish as well. There's another flower essence that I read about, I think it's called emergency essence, that was recommended for use with ferals to help them calm down and not be so fearful. Maybe this would work better. I'm trying to remember where I read about it. I'll look around and see if I can find it, it wouldn't hurt to keep it on hand in this household as well!

I live on the edge of a park and last Aug. I rescued a 4 mo. old kitten.
He had not been out there to long because he was in very good shape, I
soon discovered why he had been dumped in the park. Several times each
day he would pee on my bed. And YES he also used the litter box. I could
not close the door to the bedroom as I have only one bedroom and three
other cats I learned that a shower curtain was the right size to cover a
queen size bed. First I put down a cloth shower curtain. He peed on that
for a couple of days. About 5% went thru the curtain. Then I put a
plastic liner under the cloth one and I have had a dry bed ever since.
