Sharon,
Prayers and good wishes for you and your kitty.  I'm glad you've found another vet that you that cares enough to suggest chemo.  Felv causes our kitties immune systems to be compromised and they more readily succumb to other diseases like cancer.  Usually treatment for a pos is the same as for a neg, only more aggressive, (you don't want to take a wait and see attitude with a pos).  Many of the kitties on this list have undergone chemo and it does help extend their lives, sometimes even putting them in remission.  I can well imagine how concerned you are for her, please be sure to live in the moment with her and enjoy her company.  She knows you love her and everything you do is to try to extend the time you share.  Keep your chin up, miracles happen every day.  You know that's true, you've already experienced the miracle of finding each other.
Much love,
Nina

I just got back from the vet, they found fluid that was pressing on her esophagus, making it hard for her to swallow.  Now they see a mass in one of her lymphglands, and I am waiting for results of the tests.  If she has lymphoma, they suggest chemotherapy treatment. If she also has FeLV, would this weaken her system more? Can she also get FelV treatment at the same time? I am very worried about her, she ate today, but sleeps a lot more.  Please pray for her and that she gets the help she needs.
