That is interesting........... It goes to show how different we all are I guess.  I've never had problems putting oxi clean in with the clothes.  But I do have problems with any kind of Clorox 2 type bleach for colored clothes.  I stick now with bleach and oxi clean. for anything that's going to touch me.

Interesting.  I had major allergy problems with Oxiclean.  I broke out in the world's worst itchy rash with enough swelling that my face looked like I had been in a major fist fight--and lost.  This happened twice.  And the rash (even with medical attention --several trips to the all hours clinics) lasted for over a week each time.

I heard about odo- ban from a friend in greyhound rescue.  I have used it to clean carpets and NOT had a problem with it.  I used a small amount with oxiclean.  (Oxiclean is the bomb for cleaning carpet spots......... but the odoban helped with the smell.)  It was only when I tried using it in laundry (which it is approved for on the label)that I had the problems.  So probably it will be fine.  But better safe than sorry!  It is environmentally better than using bleach as well, so I really wanted to use it on soiled rugs and the sheets and mattress covers I use on the furniture for when someone decides to use the furniture (or my bed) rather than journey to the litterbox.  The problems only came when I used it on the sheets for my bed or furniture covers.

I have to agree.  Sorry.  This is a consideration with anything.  The trick is it can be returned to Sam's in 90 with proof of purchase.  Guess this depends on how close Sam's is to you.  Also---use it about quarter strength...not full strength.  Further, you can use it on a small part at one strength and either repeat or increase the amount.  I have never met anyone who had problems with it.  However, I have problems with items no one else has had.  Thanks for pointing this out.

Subject: Odo ban

Wendy,

One caution here.......... I've used odo-ban in the past.  First, the odor IS overwhelming to me. 2nd, I have tried it on laundry when I had a relative over who is allergic to bleach.......... well, I broke out in a rash from using odo-ban in place of bleach.

I get allergic reactions fairly easily, so I'm not 'normal' in that arena.  I get rashes with various medications, etc....

But that said, you might want to try a little first and make sure you like it and no one does have any kind of reaction to it.  (My cats didn't.... just me. lol )

Anyway, I don't think I would go buy a bunch and treat a huge area, full strength, at one time without doing a 'test' area first...... for smell, and for allergic reactions.

Just my opinion.

About $10. for a gallon that makes 32 gallons. Given what I think you are
up against I would make it make 8 gallons. I'm not sure what that would
cover but bet 2 gallons will more than take care of anything you need. If
you like it as much as I do, you will keep finding uses for it. And the
flower odor is not overwhelming or fake.

You might want to call your Sam's and make sure they are doing what they
are in Louisville (letting non members in).
