Hideyo, I wish you would cut it out with blaming yourself for things that are beyond your control.  The only way that any of this is at all your "fault" is that you gave Hannibal the opportunity to live long enough to make it to this stage in his life.  You and Hannibal have a special relationship, he knows, (better than you apparently), that everything you do for him and all those in your care, is done out of love and concern.  I know how hard you try to limit medications with side effects, how important it is to you to try "alternative" type methods that are less harsh on their bodies and spirits.  There is no way for you to know that rushing him to the vet sooner would have changed what's going on.  You make yourself crazy with this type of logic.  You don't want to stress him out unnecessarily with vet visits, and when you don't rush him in, when all you were trying to do was make his life less stressful, you "feel awful" for not being psychic enough to know that it may have been better if you did.  How in the world could you be more "careful"?  You're already the most caring human I know!  It won't do you or your babies any good to beat yourself up, you can't change the past anymore than you can predict the future.  Right now is all you have, please shake off this feeling of guilt and go from here.  Keep making the best decisions you can, decisions based in the best intentions, one moment to the next, one decision to the next.  That's all any of us can do.  Sending love and prayers for you and Hannibal, Nina Hideyo Yamamoto wrote: Thiis so totally my fault--..
