Hi Rebecca, I am so saddened to hear your news about Wowie. I can't believe it's so soon that he's taken a turn for the worst, but please don't give up hope. Did the vet say what type of anemia Wowie has? Regenerative or non-regenerative? It's important to know this. You said his RBC count is high, but I am assuming you meant low since he is anemic. Did the vet mention hemobartanella and using doxycycline just in case? Has the vet mentioned Epogen? I'm not sure it's too late for Epogen. Someone here will know better than me. I will keep precious Wowie in my prayers and you too. Try to remain calm so you can make clear-headed decisions and remember we are always here if you need anything, anytime. Please keep us posted.
