Hey guys, I wanted to tell you that the phone service that my husband and I have now has free calling to certain cities in Europe with their unlimited calling plans. We have Vonage (no we don't work for them and don't own their stock-lol), which is a provider of Voice Over IP, the new phone service that runs through your computer instead of the phone land lines. Our bill last month was $18.87. We used to pay $65 a month just for the phone land line, not including long distance! We have the 500 minutes a month plan, which is 14.99 plus tax, but the unlimited plan (which offers free calling to Europe) I believe is 24.99 a month plus tax. We didn't need that though because we also have minutes on our cell phones. With the VOIP, you can call anywhere in the US, and there's no long distance! They just look at your overall minutes and we only use about 250 on our home phone, so we didn't need the unlimited plan. We did initially have a problem porting our original phone number, but got that cleared up, and also with our security system. We had to purchase this box thing that works with the VOIP for about $150 from ADT, but it still ended up being cheaper than what we were paying. Anyway, I thought those of you with family in Europe, like Kerry, might benefit from this. I am not sure if VOIP is offered in Europe to call the US, but it might be.
