Hey Patti, For $25 a year, I have a subscription to PublicData.com, and anytime I see something like this, I am able to plug in license plate numbers and get a name and address. I have used this to send a couple of letters to the parents of crazy teenagers on motorcycles popping wheelies on the freeway, or doing something else dumb in their cars. The police won't do anything, but it makes me feel better to at least alert the parents to what their kids are up to. I also used this site to look up a guy who was on parole and 'patrolling' our neighborhood. I haven't seen him since the police ran him out of our neighborhood. Crazy, but effective sometimes.
