Chris, Please remind your friend of what we say on the list, "when it dries, it dies".  I am convinced there would be no added danger to the other cats if they shared a space, at different times of the day.  That said, there are never any guarantees.  That's why so many vets advocate pts, or segregation.  At 16 years of age, I think the risks to the other cats are of far less concern than Mischief being cooped up in a cage 24/7 for the rest of her life.  If she can give those two geriatric buddies some freedom and a better quality of life for whatever time they have left, I'm sure they would be grateful.  In any sanctuary situation there is always the concern over cross-contaminations.  I don't, however, think there is any more reason for concern in this instance.  Does she intend to test Mischief again?  I'm not sure what "light positive" truly indicates as far as prognosis goes.  I do know that I've heard of many cats that test "light pos", re-testing neg at a later.
