That's more like what I'm thinking. They all have their own personalities. How we raise and train a puppy has a certain effect.............. but they all have their own personalities. I would recommend an adult dog who has been in foster care with someone you trust rather than going with a puppy.......... or waiting until your baby is older. I have some cats mean as sh*t that I raised, and others that wouldn't hurt a flea.

It is not selfish but, if I may, wait until a dog reaches out to you.
Puppies are so much work. Have you considered a dog out of the chewing
stage. Maybe one that is housebroken. This would make life easier for you
and you might be able to rescue a "teenager." If you have any doubt about
bonding with an older pup or an adult, forget them. I have never had any
trouble with ones that have a little age. Mai Mai was 6 months old or so
when she came to live with me and Allie was around 3 years old. Both were
wonderful.
I am so sorry for the pain and confusion you must be feeling. Why don't you
discuss another dog with Rocket? He may send you just the right dog at just
the right time.
If you have men who will
exclude any of God's creatures
from the shelter of
compassion and pity, you will have men who
will deal likewise with
their fellow man.
