Helene,

I'm sorry to hear that Delilah has to have meds for
hyper-T, but I think you are wonderful for sticking it
out with her. It's so hard to give meds, so the
transdermal has been a Godsend for our little Julie.
I can't tell you exactly what her T4 is right now.
Everytime we go to the vet, it's 35$ for the office
visit, plus another I don't know how much for what
else. Everytime it's about $100, and we just shelled
out several thousands for a new a/c unit and my
husband's back. BUT, I do know that Julie is doing
fine on the meds. She's not meowing in the middle of
the night hardly at all or showing the other symptoms
she does without the meds. I don't think the
absorption rate is as consistent with the transdermal,
but I think this can somewhat be controlled by using
the same pharmacy everytime (assuming the pharmacy
doesn't change the distributor of the compound). I am
glad Delilah did well on the 5 mg. 2x a day. My vet
asked me to do the same dosage, even though I asked
him to try half that, which is what everyone on the
hyper-T board recommends, and she had a lot of side
effects, even with the transdermal. So she's still on
half that and doing well. MUCH better than trying to
pill her. LOL!

:)
