Such good news about Trixie and Ms. Bossyboots :).  Sometimes we do have the power to make things better!  That's the sort of thing I've been trying to get through to Matilda, Momma's got some clout around here and I have your back!

I was just getting ready to post an update to the list about Spencer so I'll send this to the list.  He's doing much better today, still not eating well, but more alert and more interested in food.  He had his 2nd shot of VO last night, today is the 3rd day of Dox and his last dose of Clav was this morning (I decided to only go 7 days on the Clav).  His reaction to the 1st shot of VO was kind of scary.  He was very listless, hot and not at all interested in food, or my attention, (Spence is almost always up for a cuddle).  I kept telling him he would feel better in the morning and he did.  I'm glad Hideyo said to watch for the side effect of temporary fever.  Grace and Jazz never had any reactions, except to feel better after about the third day.  I've been having to give Starman more attention, (he's so jealous!), and everyone is eating more because I keep offering food to Spence throughout the day.

Petey is still shaking her head, so is Spence.  I'm going to ask my vet about Toxoplasmosis, (the internet can be a dangerous source for just enough info to make me good and crazy).  My little dog Angel has been vomiting orange bile since yesterday.  Bruce's hand and wrist is still swollen and painful from the bite inflicted by our resident psycho, Matilda, and we'll be going to the doctor to find out why the 2 shots of abx and massive doses of Augmentin, (4000mg daily) that he finished today haven't resolved the infection from the bites.  The addition to the habitat I wanted to build for the ferals that are being displaced hasn't progressed, (I need Bruce's help to build it and he needs his hand to help).   Two more newbie cats showed up at my house yesterday...  All I want to do is go back to bed, but I have to cook a turkey for Gypsy's mush.  I tell you, I'm tired!  Are you sorry you asked?

Hi hon,
Just wondering how Spencer is doing? How is his eating today? Not to mention how are you...oh, and Bruce? Specifically, his hand?

Yours is--for all the right reasons--an extraordinary household.
Haven't seen you on the list today, so hoping that's not a bad sign. You must still be reeling from the shock of Spencer's diagnosis.

I took yr advice re Kitty-who-would-usurp-Trixie last night---gently put her on my pillow, instead of the one she was--as usual--headed for. (Trixie was hanging back on the floor, looking up at the proceedings, obviously wanting to jump up but holding back when she saw Ms Bossyboots.) Then I encouraged Trixie to assume her normal place on *her* pillow--ie the one that Kitty's been occupying for the last 8 weeks. She did! And stayed there all night. Let's hope she starts to put back on weight now.....

I'm realizing that they *eachl* need to be told *every day* that they're special and loved and wanted....and that takes *time*. Once again, I have no idea how Hideyo does it.

love & hugs to you and yours, let me know when you have time, Kerry
