Dee,     I highly recommend taking Smokey to an internist, a vet who has passed boards for internal medicine, usually present in larger hospitals or veterinary referral centers. They are better diagnosticians. Your vet is shooting in the dark a little.      If it is pneumonia, my cat Patches, who is positive, was treated for that with Baytril and Immuno-Regulin. No messing around with Clavamox. She was better within a few days.  I think that fluid showed up in x-rays though.   Michelle
