Barb,
Since you spotted her in your apt complex parking lot, and she's not underweight, (kind of hard to tell if she's long haired), she may very well have a home. Most of my cats wouldn't let a stranger approach them either. Let's pray that someone is looking after her. I'd still bring a dish of tuna out there every night around the time you spotted her and try and make friends. Do you have kids in your building? They generally know more about the neighborhood pets, maybe you can ask around and see if anyone knows her. If you could snap a picture of her, you could put up photo fliers and ask for information about her. Sort of a "not quite found" poster :). It's amazing the lengths I'll go to to try and sleep at night.

it was in the parking lot at my apt complex - there were no obvious injuries or wounds - I'm not sure what sex s/he was because her tail was never up and I wasn't close enough to really see - and it was full dark etc - s/he didn't look skinny either (street light v close there) I'd never seen her/him before, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.... <http://us.rd.yahoo.com/mail_us/taglines/postman7/*http://us.rd.yahoo.com/evt=39666/*http://messenger.yahoo.com>
