As you already know, I have two - girls (Kelly 16 and Meagan
8). Gunnar (for now) tested ELISA +, with a retest scheduled for
December 1.
The girls have their second vaccination this Tuesday night.
Tanya said to wait an additional two weeks after that.
So let me ask you all this:
The girls know Gunnar exists. We've brought him up in his
carrier to spend time with the family. There's been a bit of mild
hissing and a few paw slaps. We also have a cage for Gunnar, since
he's just a young guy and might need to be contained for a bit -
especially when no one is home.
Please let me have your suggestions and hints as how to finally
get them all together. I KNOW THAT YOU CAN ONLY MAKE ONE GOOD FIRST
IMPRESSION. I don't want to cause permanent harm or resentment by
introducing them incorrectly. And I certainly don't want any
fighting! You guys have all been there, so your successes and
mistakes would help us all.
By the by, can we take a short poll?? How many cats do some of
you actually take care of??????
God bless all of you and your furry friends. And remember: God
doesn't make mistakes. You're all together for a reason. It's just a
matter of time to find out your reason for living. My reason is taking
care and loving my two "sisters," Kelly and Meagan, and now being here
for Gunnar. We got Kelly at the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Socienty in
1992. We chose her. We got Meagan at the Chicago Ridge Humane Society
in 1999 - she showed us her "Dracula fangs" like Kelly has and I knew
she was the one. Gunnar, however, was DELIVERED to us like a Domino's
pizza - God sent him ringing our doorbell. It didn't matter that I
didn't "order" him and it didn't matter what "toppings" he had - God
wanted him to live in this house. P.S. Gunnar also has "Dracula
fangs" like the girls, so I knew that was my sign - God just saved me
an adoption fee! ;D
I look forward to hearing from all of you. I've said it before
and I'll say it again - when it comes to experts, it's YOU guys. Not
the so-called "experts," and not the vets. I'll trust what you tell me
over any vet any day.
Keep up the good work, and keep the faith!!
