Cats with FeLV are more vulnerable to upper respiratory infections (URI's) and to feline herpes virus, both of which can make the eyes run.  Lysine is an amino acid that is anti-viral and helps cats fight off both.  It seems to work especially well when the problem is in the eyes. You can get it at any health food store, but make sure it is pure with no additives-- one additive, I don't remember what it is called, is harmful to cats.  You can get a capsule and open it up, or get a pill and crush it.  Mix it with chicken baby food or wet food and your cat should eat it, or you can pill your cat with it. 500 mg/day is a normal dosage while a cat is fighting something.
