Hideyo - that is the game plan that my vet and I have decided on. Both cats will be on the immune support tablets, Satch will also be getting some asthma stuff that might or might not be permanent, it remains to be seen, but it also contains some immune supporting supplements that will complement the tablets. I'll have the virolyte, which is strong and shouldn't be used continuously, and the interferon on hand in case things turn for the worse.
Michelle - thank you for responding.
Gloria - where do you get your interferon from? Do you mind me asking what it costs you? I found the cost to be too prohibitive to administer continuously.
Thanks guys,
Leslie

If I were you, I would focus on maintaining their immune system up and wait to use interferon until you need it (meaning they become symptomatic.. like become anemic, lethargy.. etc..)

I stopped using it because I could not see any positive effects it was having (which is not to say there weren't any) and I thought it might be bothering Lucy's IBD.

The time to start using it is before they are symptomatic. I've been using it for a while -
since my Calawalla and Mittens died - I did the same thing, thought I'd wait till they showed
symptoms, but a I understand, it's too late then. I see no side effects at all with mine.
