I am so sorry and hope Peanuts is doing better. I have been dealing with cholangiohepatitis for almost a year now on a non FELV cat, He needed surgery and the ultra sound showed a lousy gallbladder and stones , He had surgery and is on a lot of meds but is doing so very well, His labs are normal again and the vomiting is rare, His weight is up and he is no in pain,

Thanks Belinda & all of you for your support & prayers. The vet called & Peanut's liver values were all elevated. Her bilirubin & white count were thru the roof. He thinks that cholangiohepatitis is the most likely culprit. I took her to the vet for 3 days of supportive care & treatment (IV fluids, antibiotics, syringe feeding). I hated to do it...I don't want her to feel scared, but I felt it was her only chance. I really felt that she wouldn't have survived the night if I had kept her here. It was really hard to leave, but I'm hoping this will turn her around. I had to go to work after that & there were no phone calls from them since I dropped her off, so I'm considering that to be good news. They would have called me if she would have needed to be moved to a 24 hour vet for overnite care, so she was apparently medically stable enough to go the night there. Thanks again for the prayers & keep 'em coming :)

- I hope it isn't hepatic lipidosis, the only thing that will reverse that is enough food. The liver is one of the organs that definitely can heal itself, but if she is jaundice from not eating enough then food, more importantly enough food is the only way to save her. Not saying this to scare you it is a fact and I've seen it enough to know it is very reversible, Buddie had this, hers was caught very early on and she was fine.
- Lots of prayers for Peanut. Make sure she is getting a can to a can and half of food a day if this is what she has. And yes it can strike in just a day or two if a cat quits eating, especially if the cat is overweight to start with.
- I'm adding her now, hope her blood work comes back with out any serious problems going on.
