Hideyo
is calling me from the ER vet right now. She asked me to write to
you guys because she needs your support. Tsubomi is the young felv +
that shares her room with Ginger, (also felv +). For the last few
days Tsubomi has been acting more and more lethargic, she's still eating
well though. She decided to bring her to the ER vet and her blood
test shows a PCV at 9.4 and RBC 1.7. She brought another of her
kitties with her to donate blood, but she's not sure he's the same blood
type. First she asks that you all please send prayers for Oh oh, the
donor cat, and for Tsubomi to feel better after the
transfusion.
The xray shows, what they think is a small amount of fluid
in her stomach, making her breathing a little rapid. The WBC is very
high at 52000. After the transfusion, she's going to try feline
interferon, possibly Epogen, (not sure about this), and maybe steroid
shots. She wants to ask the group if there are any other suggestions
of what she might do, or if anyone suspects anything other than a
diagnosis of cancer.
Please pray and send healing, calming thoughts to
Tsubomi, Oh oh and Hideyo. Hideyo is in an exam room right now
trying to keep it together as she waits and waits for them to do the
transfusion. Poor Oh Oh is very upset and little Tsubomi is listless
in her arms. She will write to the group as soon as she
can. Nina
