Hi, Chelsea -- Sorry Tsunade tested positive. FeLV is transmittable to other felines, but is not as contagious as once thought. I'm fairly new on this list myself, but many here have mixed their negative and positive cats for years with no transmission of the disease. You won't pass this on to the other animals you wish to handle. Basically, Tsunade would have to bite each and every one, and as far as I know, FeLV is limited to cats -- and I'm not even sure about the exotics. As a precaution, you would avoid feeding them out of her food dishes and not let them hang out in her litter box, but then those things aren't likely to happen in any case. Your boyfriend's cat should be okay as long as it is vaccinated for FeLV. Feed Tsunade good quality food -- others on the list will tell you which ones -- try to keep her stress levels down and be really vigilant about sniffles, sneezes, any sign of illness, and get her to a vet for it. FeLV cats are really susceptible to upper respiratory disease and eye things. Oh, and don't let a vet suggest you put her to sleep just because she's FeLV. She probably won't live as long as if she were well, but she can live many, many years. Good luck!
I envy your work (and future work) with all those exciting animals!
