I get lost and stray animals here all the time.  I just walked a little terrier type home yesterday, thankfully he had a collar and tag with his address on!  The problem in my area is that most "owners" don't even try to get a lost animal back.  They just go out and get a new puppy or kitten.  With the little dog yesterday, I called and left a message on their answer machine.  He was so unhappy in my dog run, I decided to bring him home and just put him in their back yard.  I didn't even get a call back from his humans.

Was it you that was talking about organizing the lost.com sites?  It would be great if there was a way to register all lost and found pets and then have them sorted on a geographical/breed/species basis.  I'm still marveling over how each of the people that found Satch and Bea knew enough, cared enough, to check for micro chips.  I may move to Leslie's area!  I'll go check out the link.  Thanks,
Nina

Hello group,
Kerry N. directed me to a lost pet site at www.LostAndPound.com  On the right side of the main page you can sign up to receive free email alerts anytime a pet from your area is listed as lost.  Please consider signing up, it's a nice way to continue the good vibes of this whole experience.

:o)
