Sally, You need to make sure that Tiny does not have septicemia. It is treated with antibiotics. Especially after dog bites, kitties are given antibiotics because of the risk of infection; dogs mouths are pretty filthy according to my vet, but kitties can get it even from cat bites. If you haven't taken Tiny to the vet for the bite wounds, you might want to reconsider getting him on antibiotics. My best friend's kitty died from untreated septicemia (she had gotten out, disappeared, and showed back up the day she died, about a week later; it was too late to treat her, sadly).
