There are two articles about it on the felineleukemia.org website, and someone on this list collected other info as well and emailed it a while ago. I can find it for you if you want. The on-label use, at least for horses and I think for cats too, is actually to help with getting over upper respiratory infections as an immune booster.  It is listed in the veterinary pill book that is sold over the counter.  My bottle is eqstim, the way it is labeled for horses, and specifically says it is for URI's.
