Thanks for all the suggestions. I got her to the vet and they gave me
eukanuba maiximum calorie food and I am feeding her three times a day and
also leaving out food that she eats too. I will look into the food you
suggested Tad and everybody else. Her name for now is Tamia which means
chipmunk is spanish, but that might change. Thanks again for all the help!
(I think she likes the junk food meow mix, because most likely that is what
her previous owner was feeding her, or some other kind of junk food, I dont
think he spent very much money on the food. Considering the condition she
and her sister came in, it didn't seem he cared very much about them. I
tried fancy feast, iams kitten food, friskies kitten food and whiskas so far
and she didnt like them. She does like the eukanuba. I also have some
pro-plan, science diet and nutro max kitten food to try)
Tad-glad to hear that Thurston and Lovey are doing very well and healthy, I
will let everyone know at the shelter.

I second Chris' guess that the little angel is probably scared and not
eating right away because of that. Along with the suggestions already
given, you might also try the ProPlan kitten food, it's not the best food,
(same with Fancy Feast), but I've never met a kitten that didn't like at
least one of the flavors. Be ready for a little diarrhea from all the
upset and change in diet, (I'd definitely get them off the meow mix). Here's
a link to info about the a/d that Tad suggested:

Congratulations on the new addition! What's her name?

If you're trying to 'jump start' her eating, my suggestion is feed her
anything she'll eat. Fancy Feast usually gets raves. But also try some
people food--the 'tuna water' with a little of the tuna mixed in, ham,
turkey, etc., baby food without onions, anything at all just to get some
nourishment and fluids in her... She's probably not eating cause she's a
bit scared...

Subject: suggestions on yummy food for 5 month old kittten
Hi,
I brought home the 5 month old feluk postive kitten last night. She is
just
a little over 2 lbs. I am worried about her not eating, I know I only
brought her home last night, but I don't think she touched her food. Any
suggestions on some really good yummy food I could feed her, to fatten her
up too? They were feeding her friskies and she ate a bit there, and I gave
her some last night but also some meow mix wet that I feed my cats (cause
they love it). I think I am going to try a variety of foods for her and
see, but if you know of a sure food that every kitten loves please let me
know.
Thanks
Jeni
