Yes, it is repairable in people, and dogs, but not cats:( Apparently there aren't heart lung machines small enough...I talked to my brother who is an MD and he said if they were able to do the surgery to repair it they would probably have to do it under a microscope. It may eventually turn into DCM or HCM, or it may not.
