I can't remember for sure why.. but Dr. Ishida and Dr. Addie recommended the use of dex as a single dose and use predisolone instead if you are giving on going . .must be something to do with the fact that it may not impair any liver functions.. with FIP, their liver eventually get damaged and maybe that's why..
