Hi again all. I checked on Slinky a while ago and he's stable and holding his own. Temp is still a little elevated, but nothing too worrisome. I'll be glad when I can go see him this morning! Now that the transfusion will be behind us and we know we have the option of Epogen...I'm wondering what you all might suggest as next steps. I know I've read things in the past about Imuno Regulin (IR?), Interferon, and other drugs, but I frankly can't remember what the difference between those 2 are and what they're for. Is at least one of them something I should consider getting Slinky on regularly to try to boost his immune system and keep him healthy to avoid the anemia, etc.? Are there other things I can do to ward off more problems (already giving him vitamin C and L-Lysine...any other suggestions?)? Once I can afford it, I may take him in to see a holistic vet and/or bring in a woman I met who does T-touch and accupressure (if only to teach me to do it). But in the meantime (and in addition), I want to know what kinds of things I should be talking to the vets about doing for him. Any thoughts or suggestions would be MOST appreciated!!! Thanks so much for being the most incredible list serv on the web! :) I hope you and your kitties are all having a great night. MJ
