I would be VERY cautious of taking advice from someone who is selling something. Vets, I don't belive always give the right treatment either, but it must be very hard for them to diagnose a patient that can not tell them what is wrong, plus they deal with various species, not like a human doctor that only deals with one. I do hope Slink recovers, but some times miracle cures are not true miracles - just scams. I recall a doctor once saying something about herbs - she said "they could be good for you, but since no real research has been done why take the risk and chance making yourself even sicker?" I honestly think domestication is what has made cats sicker these days. As humans we try to improve their lives and alot of things I thnk isn't as good as we would like to think - like food and additives, flea medicines, vitamin supplements, enviroment.......
We love our babies and we can only do so much. Please keep trying and trust that whatever happens - there is some higher purpose.
Our prayers go out to you and Slink.

Subject: Re: Interesting article about cat health and cleansing their bodies
What do people think of this? I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now - wanting to do anything I can to save Slink and not knowing what's best. Seems everything you read says something different. I think I'd feel better about this article if it weren't written by the people selling the products. But...what do people think?Re: Slink...His temp spiked again last night. :( But it's down to 103.6 this morning. Last night when I went to bed he got up and went under the bed all the way back in the corner and sat there. I really thought maybe he was getting ready to leave me. So I crawled under the bed and petted and kissed him a bit...but didn't want to bring him up to the bed if he wanted to be alone (trying to respect his wishes...so hard but I know it's best). I did pull the rug he was lying on a little closer to the front of the bed. I checked on him a few times during the night and he's still hangin' in there. He's up on the bed with me now. But..was a long night for mom!!!I ordered the IR and have an appointment tonight to start it. I am staying home today because now it appears that I'M getting sick! :( Thanks for all the prayers and support for Slink! I'll keep you updated.MJ
