Those were beautiful poems. I have a hard time reading things like that, but it
reminds me there are good people in this world.
I am curious, though about the vet sticking the needle in his heart. Was this
because they could not find a vein? It's my understanding that this is a
painful practice.

that was so sick he looked like death itself. We took him to the vet who
basically said he was so far gone nothing could be done, so we had him put to
sleep. I write poems in my spare time and have now posted one about him on a
blog. I thought you all may want to read it.
A few weeks after this cat, we found another one that roamed on to our
property. She was so frail but tested negative for FELV. She had a very deep
wound (farming equipment I suppose) on her back where maggots had got in - we
took her to the vet also but she died after about 3 days. We were actually on
our way to pick her up when they phoned.
I sure do love these furry little creatures.
