I've wondered about the possibility too :o) My kittens momma tested Elisa negative when she was spayed, but one kitten tested positive (elisa and IFA) at seven weeks, and a second one turned positive at about 14 weeks. I think that the momma was probably the source and would have tested positive on IFA had we known before releasing her, but the daddy is a possibility, as he did seem to come around the brush pile where they were born quite a bit before I caught them.
