I am forwarding this message from the Feral Cat list. Does anyone here
have any more information on the use of Cobra Venom?
Sam

Cobra venom. I have a call in to my vet for more clinical details
since my knowledge is basically they were injected for 30 days for one
and 30+ for the other and now test negative. I just got word today
that the vet tried it on a calici cat that had been resistant to
antibiotics and symptomatic care and in 4 days the symptoms were gone.
I also found out that I was wrong on the cost - a bottle costs around
$150 (depending on the area and supplier) and will treat 2 adult cats
for the 30 day FeLV protocol so $75 per cat and that is nothing when
you consider how much some illness treatments cost.
Thanks,
Dawn
