That is very young, he probably had some hereditary issue that was fatal. It's 
sad,
but you have to just know that it IS nature's way, and be at peace with that. 
It's
always sad to lose a baby. I lost one traumatically many years back, and I will
probably never get over it totally. Her momma dropped her while moving her 
behind the
stove, he head caught on the gas pipe and wedged her by her neck against the 
wall and
the pipe. I think it broke her neck, she didn't last long, died of respiratory
failure... classic spinal injury progression, just got harder and harder for 
her to
breathe until she took one last gasp and died. It was VERY sad for me. This was 
one
of Moogie's sisters when her litter was first born. I've lost several due to
"nature", unthrifty kitten, selective process, whatever you want to call it... 
and I
saved a few that by all odds shouldn't have made it into adulthood. You win 
some, you
lose some, but one thing I have learned, you can't beat life, or death, 
eventually
you suffer losses, no matter how many successes you can conquer. You just have 
to
pick up and go on.
