Who told you it is the law? What state/county are you in? In California, different counties have different requirements re rabies vaccinations but all those counties that do require a vaccine will allow a vet to temporarily waive the requirement for sound medical reasons. If the law is different where you are, could you give me the citation, whether it is state code or local regulation. I'd like to take a look. I rarely do tiny kittens, and almost never have bottle babies. (Though I have a great foster who loves to take on the little ones and also has no real mortality rate.) I've had some very sick 2 or 3 month olds from shelters, as well as adults, but I rarely have anyone under 6 weeks. (Never mind the 4 week old in my bathroom. It was an emergency.)

She was in late stage pregnancy. They WILL vaccinate nursing moms, and have. It is the law. I am lucky my vet will see my Missy without forcing me to vaccinate her against rabies.
