OK. MC was talking about Guidestar. That is where you can check to see if a program is 501(c)3.
Amazon.com has a great affiliate program. If you wanted to give to Rescuties - you could go to www.rescuties.org and click in the left sidebar on the Amazon logo. That will take you to the Amazon site with my link embedded and I will get credit for your purchases. The % they give ranges from 4%-8.5% depending on how many items people buy in a month. If your favorite charity does not participate, they can set up an affiliate account quickly and easily. You do not have to be a 501(c) 3 for this. Igive.com is a shopping site which credits a percentage back of what people purchase. It can range from 2-20%, I think. I have not had as much luck with this as I have had w/amazon. http://www.iGive.com/Rescuties Goodsearch is a search engine that credits back 1 cent per search to the charity of you choice. You DO have to be a 501(c)3 for this. You can go there and set it up so your charity is automatically credited every time. If you need help dgoing this let me know:) www.goodsearch.com On 5/12/07, MaryChristine <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
you guys can continue this thread, with the various affiliate programs, igive.com, etc..... and don't forget to add www.guidestar.com to check on places. i'm just gonna do www.goodsearch.com where you can earn money for your favorite charity with each web search you conduct--i know that kelley's rescue is one of the ones on their list; check with your group to see if they're signed up, and tell them to go to the homepage if they're not!
