Hey Melissa, I am so sorry that I have not been able to reply to this post until now. I saw it when I was out of town last weekend, and have been so busy at work and home, it's crazy. I am so happy to hear that Cassidy made it to Best Friends! I hate that you miss him so, but isn't it wonderful that he had someone so great that loves him?! Some kitties never find that. It seems so often here that someone finds something extra special in the FeLV kitties. And like you said, you can't put a name to it. I was surprised to hear you call yourself selfish. I wouldn't call someone selfish who would spend their own money and time to fly a cat to another state and drive to yet another state only to hand the kitty off to a place that would take good care of him. No, selfish is not the word for you. Caring, loving, sacrificial...those are more appropriate characterizations. I hope you'll be able to settle in soon without Cassidy and know that Joanie and her crew are going to take good care of him. I hope missing him isn't too hard on you.
