Personally I think this is a bad idea, she isn't vomiting at the vets I would bet anything because she isn't getting fed enough, believe me a vet doesn't have enough personal to devote the kind of time small frequent meals require so they don't get them. Getting fed small amounts every 4 or 5 hours will do no good at this point. She needs smaller, more frequent feedings round the clock.

If she's not vomiting at the vet's, then I think you might consider leaving her there until things stabilize.
