It is a bit morbid...but this could be a good way for
our  cats to work out their frustrations with people?
Try a little Ken doll as an experiment...maybe a GI
Joe?  I'd be a little concerned, if this caught on,
with ,for example , our larger cats in zoos. using
say, mannequins. When you imagine that, it would be
difficult to believe they did not realize what they
were doing... 
I do have every confidence, our smaller cats
comprehend that the little toy people are
reproductions of humans. I have noticed that cats are
much more able to appreciate television, for example,
than a dogs...Cats are very adept at figuring out
concepts. 
I hope you do not have long blond hair...just
joking...
