Sally,
Don't feel bad, fleas are particulairly devilish this year due to the rains.
I would give Junoir a flea treatment, either Advantage or Frontline ( not
revolution, doesn't seem to help much for fleas in my opinion).
Once he is treated, the fleas should begin to die due to biting him.
Probably should treat allof the kitties, tho.
Maybe 3 months in a row.........
Wash his bedding, that's where most of the eggs are hanging out probably.

Ok folk
I shouldn't panic but I found a few fleas on Junior. I combed out what I
could. It was only 4 fleas and only a little flea dirt. However his vet last
year told me it only takes one flea to cause Haemobartonella. Now that was a
year ago b4 his Felv dx. He was not tested for Haemobartonella, but was put on
antibiotics. I really think the anemia was from the FeLV infection stage. He
was only treated with Baytril for a week, maybe it was two weeks. He has not
had anemia since. Junior is pretty much on his own but occasionally Silver goes
into his room. I am guessing that is where the flea(s) came from. I had not had
fleas on my cats all summer, and yes I check them with a flea comb. This past
week, I started seeing a few so, I have been treating that cats with Advantage.
Junior just got this as well.
I hope Junior will be ok. He is doing so well. Unfortunately I cannot spray
or vacuum Erics room. He is in there 95% of the time due to COPD and possible
polymyositis. His msucle biopsy shoud come back this week. That is where Junior
stays.
