Tonya, sorry took so long to respond. still trying to get things straight following father's death (he was 92 and guess i thought he would live forever) and having to put Snuggles down following a battle with kidney failure. spent 2 days at vet in incubator with oxygen and fluids, but could not get his temp back up. couldn't bear to make him stay any longer. then, we had a flood in our town (i am over 600' above floodplain, but spent 2 days helping kids clean up beauty shop. all along, had Homie and Annie arguing (hiss and slap). Annie had been only cat and her person was dying with liver cancer, went to hospice and she was locked up in trailer with someone coming in to feed and clean box in am as only contact with anyone. she never had been outside, is 4 yrs. old, spayed and to look at her, you would not suspect she has anything wrong with her. Homie was a wild cat, who picked a friend's mother to stay with. she kept her until her kitens were weaned and adopted, but then wanted to get rid of her. she is a crazy calico with one side of her face brown and other black. almost a brindle all over with 4 white feet. she is healthy, about 1 yr old, and was here when Annie came home with me. it was instant dislike. Snuggles tolerated both of them, but mostly avoided them. he was not feeling well. on top of all that, i was back and forth to hospital with father and when at home, taking care of him 24 hrs a day. Snuggles stayed on his bed and when he rang his bell, Snuggles came after me, stopping every 3' or so to make sure i was coming. when we got to father's room, he hopped on the bed and settled down. the day father died, he never went back into his room. so, you can see that Annie, in fact no one was getting much attention. i realy feel that all this stress was too much and maybe Annie had the virus as a kitten and it had been dormant. since then, a couple of people has suggested this. lately, i have been giving more attention to both and letting them out to walk around the house and relieve all the lizards of their tails. they like to sit on the deck and snooze. seems to be relieving the tension and we are down to 1 hiss and slap session a day. taking all my print outs of advice to vet on Wednesday so he can read them. he realy is great and willing to work with you on solutions. glad don't have to keep seperate as tried that and found out Annie can open doors. dorlis ---- catatonya <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > How old are the cats?
