My friends found a friendly kitten at one of their colonies, she tested a light positive on a snap test, was retested on an Elisa test which was positive. They plan to do an IFA in 2 weeks.
She is 12 weeks old and was returned from the (wonderful) rescue who was helping with her as of course they had no where to segregate. My friends don't either and this sweet little girl is in a cage in a backyard and very, very lonely. What makes it even more difficult in finding a home or foster is that she just broke with ringworm & URI. I know it's like asking the impossible but if anyone knows of a potential home or foster please let me know, she of course needs as little stress & as much love as possible and right now is very unhappy. We also have another kitten who just tested a light positive on a snap test and will be retesting her (including IFA) in a month. But, they can't be combined since it is hoped she might still go negative. Please pardon a pathetic plea for help but if it helps get this little girl into a better situation, figure it's worth asking/posting. Thanks for reading! My friends who found this kitten are very wonderful rescue people doing constant TNR, with tons of kittens in their homes already and have no place left to segregate.
