Lorrie, I think she meant Cyproheptadine, an antihistamine.  Some have had 
success using it as an appetite stimulant.   I worry about forcing a cat to eat 
by using this kind of appetite stimulant unless you are sure the cat is not 
nauseated. Forcing a nauseated cat to eat ill only cause food aversions.
 
I have found food is the best appetite stimulant.  I use gently warmed meat 
baby food (no onions or garlic).  I either offer it on a saucer, on a coated 
baby spoon or syringe feed it.  It all depends on the cat.  My cats consider 
their Gerber's 2 Chicken and Gravy the ultimate treat.

Shannon, I don't remember all the details about Whimsy, but it sounds
like he may need Prozac rather than Cypro. Cypro is an antibiotic,
and if he doesn't have an infection, but is merely upset and agitated
I wondered why Cypro was suggested??
