I'm glad my vet only uses Pfizer. I had no idea that there were different
manufacturers and had adverse effects on them. I researched the vaccine just
for the heck of it and I had found 3 different brands to my surprise!

This with the Fort Dodge vaccines and vets don't even like to mention
them; cats that are vaccinated, will always show to be FIV+! That's
really bad for cats that had the vaccine, become lost, abandoned - most
will kill them because of FIV status. My vet hates these vaccines.

It's my understanding this doesn't happen with the new vaccines.

There is a FIV vax. The issue is any cat who the FIV vaccine will show up
positive on any future FIV/FeLV ELISHA test. Any cat who gets the FIV vax
should also be microchipped so the owners can clarify the cat is NOT FIV
positive just vaccinated.
