When my cats are sick, I normally check the followings at first: Color of the gum - pale Color of the skin - jaundiced? Body temp - warm/hot is much better than "cold" Breathing - labored/fast? Hydration level - is skin elastic? If all of the above are okay, and the condition is an acute condition as opposed to be chronic, it might be something not life threatening...
