While it is theoretically possible, it is not too likely. Most of the viruses 
are specific to their host species, so there is not too much transfer between 
cats and humans.

Maybe.  There are a couple of hundred of viruses that cause a human cold.  It's 
not just one virus, plus bacteria can be involved too (think strep throat).
